-old is hospitalized tonight after he was hit by a car in concord. the boy was in a crosswalk just before 1:00 this afternoon. they say he's a freshman at a high school. he's been taken to children's hospital oakland. he niece a coma and needed surgery to relief pressure on his brain. he is said to be cooperating with authorities. tonight, on the 10:00 news, why residents tell us this is a dangerous intersection. >>> two women are under areas involving a 4-year-old boy. this happened in the old navy story. a 22-year-old bay point woman took her and her 4-year-old son inside and stole several items. >>> when a guard approached her, she pulled out a if i have and got away in a waiting car drive by another woman. officers located and arrested both women this just minutes. the boy is now with relatives. >>> also in concord, police are looking for leads in a series of tire slashings. investigators say at least 60 vehicles were targeted. business is up, but if it damaged tires leaves small pinholes, which means it's like a ice pick and not a life that is used. >>> allegations of employees are

, kron 4 news. a concord deli re- opened for business this morning following a noro-virus outbreak. that sickened 45 people. new tonight at eight. kron 4's reggie kumar tells us what the restaurant owner thinks happened. for the past few weeks, they can transmit the virus. they say that they passed the last health inspection with no problem. drivers along san francisco's central freeway, and parts of interstate 80, have been left confused by missing lane divider lines. the markers were removed by cal-trans crews working on the roadways. new tonight at eight. kron 4's charles clifford explains why. and when they may return. this is video i shot while merging onto southbound interstate 80 from 7th street in san francisco thursday afternoon. notice anything missing? the lane lines are gone. there's no white lines or reflective markers seperating the lanes or marking the shoulders. there is a vague outline of where those things used to be, but it's hard to see. what happened to the lines? well, earlier this month caltrans started resurface the roadway along this portion of interstate

with a crash. on treat boulevard, watch for slow traffic coming from concord to walnut creek. after that, though, the traffic is doing well. if you get on the freeway in walnut creek, the traffic is better. westbound 80, we had reports of 80 westbound, involving a motorcycle but the chp is not reporting it. in richmond near central, we're trying to find it. hopefully it's not there. but we'll keep an eye on it for. and the tell's slide area. highway 1 at devil's side -- devil slide area. highway 1, devil's slide. they are blocking a lane there. there's only two lanes there. so they have to do traffic control. let's go to the toll plaza, the traffic is backed you for about a 15-minute minute delay before you make it on the span itself. this morning's commute in san jose, that's off to a good start. northbound 280 traffic is doing well. all lanes have just reopened at devil's slide. so that's good news. let's go to steve. >>> colder this morning. mostly clear. a few low clouds around. yesterday was coastal variety. it's colder this morning. it's going to get colder. a lot of sunshine. incr

. about 7:30 tonight, san francisco police left the concord apartment here that belongs to anne collins, kevin collin's mother. as you see in these exclusive pictures three invest investigators from the san francisco police department isn't several hours tonight talking to kevin collin's mother, two of his sisters and a brother. we know police showed them this picture of the lead suspect dan therrien who died in 1978. they also showed them what he looked like in 1974, when witnesses say they saw kevin talking to a man with a big black dog. >> i am convinced that the investigation is going in the right direction. >> reporter: that direction led them last week to dig up the concrete floor of the garage of this house on masonic where therrien lived. two different cadaver dogs alerted at the same spot. they believe the dog fragments found may be dog not human. two witnesses who saw kevin with a man with a dog back then could not pick thierrien out of a photo line up. >> that's correct neither of them could. >> reporter: now less than two hours ago anne collins left here with her daughters

[ lucky ] ♪ they're magically delicious ♪ the one and only, cheerios >> we have new details about the suspect in the 1984 san francisco kidnapping of kevin collins. dan therrian, who went by the name of 'kelly' lived in the haight ashbury home police searched earlier this week. they were looking for clues into collins disappearance. this is a 2003 drivers license picture of therrian. he died back in 2008. therrian's masonic avenue home is located right across the street from kevin's school. kron fours' terisa estacio talked with collins mother about this newest information. ann collins remembers some of these distinctive details with this man that matched the description. in the past, credible witnesses in the past saying that he was last seen with a man with a black dog. this man, who went by the name " kelly ". also had a dog. they do not remember police identified him by na
